I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, grief, and women's issues. I strive to positively impact my clients' lives through compassionate and effective therapy. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate life's challenges with empathy and understanding. With years of experience, my approach is tailored to meet clients' unique needs, offering a safe and non-judgmental space for them to explore their strengths and challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I like to make my client feel comfortable and relaxed. I make sure they know it is a safe space to talk about whatever they want to talk about. I like to build a rapport with my clients so that we can get to know each other and feel relaxed before diving into therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a compassionate listener and I give my 100% attention to my client during their session. I do not let anything distract me from focusing on them. I also give my clients skills to use outside of therapy that will improve their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with most of my clients. Together, we begin by pinpointing the issues and setting goals together. I have my clients try out new ways of thinking and behaving, and I teach them practical skills to address unhelpful thoughts and actions. I keep track of their progress and maintain a supportive relationship to help my clients make lasting changes.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use person-centered therapy with my clients by focusing on building a trusting and empathetic relationship where clients feel accepted and understood. I encourage clients to explore their feelings and experiences at their own pace, using reflective listening to help them gain insights. I try to avoid giving advice or direction, and instead I try to empower my clients to make their own decisions and pursue their personal growth within a culturally sensitive framework.
