Hello, I am Lanelle. Are you ready to embrace your healing journey and find meaning in the story of your life? Have you experienced trauma in your life and grasping for hope to fully overcome it? If so, I am ready to assist you! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio and have been practicing for 15 years. I specialize in treating trauma (sexual, emotional, relational, betrayal, birth & body), complex grief, inner child wounds, mother and father wounds, attachment issues, sex-related issues, women's issues, and perinatal/postpartum care. I enjoy helping women learn to tell their stories no matter how traumatic or painful they may be while also helping them to fully embrace who they are and who they're meant to be as women. You were made to be someone special and walk in the fullness of the light within you and I want to help you tap into that light and gain freedom! You are more than your trauma and your story does not define you! If you have experienced any kind of trauma, abandonment, betrayal, divorce, or abuse, or if you are a pregnant woman needing support in your birthing journey, I want to help you. Sharing your story and seeking help is a huge undertaking, but I want to walk alongside you and help you be your healed self. So if you are ready, let's get started on your healing journey!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During our first few visits, we will spend time building rapport and I will get to know who you are and your background story a little more. As we progress through treatment, my goal is to help you fully align yourself with who you are meant to be. I will help you uncover your core beliefs while helping you embrace the positive changes you want to make in your life. This will happen through open processing, exploring, therapeutic questioning and reframing, homework assignments, and practicing new skills. Your transformation depends on you though. I am here as a passenger to your story. I am here to aid you in achieving the best version of yourself.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I consider myself to be an integrative trauma therapist. I love talk therapy, but I also love incorporating other useful techniques such as art, music, dance, meditation, tapping, visualizations, movement, relaxation, metaphors, cinema, poetry, and other useful measures to help you move forward. I consider myself to be a teaching therapist so I will teach you about the body and the brain as well as the purpose behind the techniques I use. I use somatic techniques, IFS therapy, and other trauma-informed techniques to help you feel more engaged and present in your body and life.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am a bonafide trauma-therapist. I love teaching about trauma and I love helping people get free from trauma using right-brained activities and somatic techniques. I have learned that trauma tends to get people disconnected from others, the world, and their bodies so helping my clients get back connected and integrated in those areas is highly important to me. I am strong in the areas of helping clients confront false or negative beliefs as well as getting them more connected with truth. I love helping clients see how their internal worlds are comprised and how to navigate triggers and traumatic experiences.
