As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I help clients to overcome the obstacles that get in the way of living a meaningful and purposeful life. I believe mental health and wellness is a lifestyle of putting yourself first mentally, emotionally, and physically. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I have a Masters in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Chapman University. My primary focus includes depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, caregiver stress, relationship issues, and stress management. It is important for my clients to be comfortable, agreeable and involved throughout the treatment process. Treatment plans are individualized to meet your needs because one size does not fit all. I use a person centered strengths based approach using Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I look forward to partnering with you on your healing journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am committed to meeting you with compassion, creating safety and trust, and listening to your goals. You can expect to be challenged, have evidenced-based assignments to work on in-between sessions and will create a toolbox to be able to function better in the world and grow in a healthy manner. Often my clients say that therapeutic style helps create change because I am connecting what they bring into session with skills and tools they can use outside of session and that I am not "just listening".

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Depending on your specific concerns and needs, I utilize therapeutic modalities that helps support your growth. I am currently trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavioral Modification, Seeking Safety, and Collaborative Problem-Solving Strategies. I encourage self-care and provide skills and tools to interweave into daily life as helpful recommendations in between sessions.

My biggest strengths are connecting with clients and developing personalized and achievable goals. I am passionate about supporting clients achieving their goals and thriving as their best self. I compassionate and understanding that everyone is different therefore treatment plans are individualized to meet your needs.
