I have been in the helping professions for the past decade and specifically a therapist for the past four years. I use an integrative approach, where I assess the strengths and resources already available to you but potentially hidden in your blind spots. I'm happy to help you identify them and support you in taking advantage of them. I often use "parts work" with my clients, a tool for healing allowing one to live life in a way that promotes more empowerment and less burden. I teach my clients different ways to cope with life's anxieties and stressors using evidence-based treatments. If you're open to having an honest conversation about your life and ways to make it better, reach out for a consultation.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

As a therapist, I plant a lot of seeds, as seeds are the early stages of growth and development. I understand therapy as a process and there are no quick fixes nor short cuts. A client might be planting seeds for a few months and eventually grow a plant or two. My end goal is for the client to have a garden of coping skills, flowers of compassion, and the confidence to be their own best helper. Sessions generally close with a "take away," whether that be food for thought, or a mini exercise to implement in their personal lives. It could be a coping skill to try out, a worksheet to engage in, or even a short term goal to accomplish such as reaching out to a friend, applying for a job, or going on a walk.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients have said they enjoy working with me because I'm not as "clinical" and instead "more friendly, straightforward, and personable." I'm an empathic person and genuinely care for the people I serve. I believe my energy and recollection in session are my biggest strengths.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

My training in Internal Family Systems enables me to help clients with stressors including but not limited to grief, relationships, career issues, and self-esteem. My clients gain several takeaways including an increase in compassion for themselves, as well as the curiosity to have a sense of wonder about how to make things work more effectively for them.
