Hi there! I have been working as a mental health therapist since 2019 and am licensed to practice in both Virginia and Tennessee. I am also an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). I offer telehealth sessions to those in VA and TN, providing a convenient option for accessing support from any HIPAA compliant location. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), offering specialized approaches for trauma, emotional regulation, and personal growth. I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you understand the different parts of yourself & work through emotions in a way that fosters healing & growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will focus on completing the intake process, which includes gathering information about your history, current challenges, and reasons for seeking therapy. This session is also an opportunity for you to share your goals and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we will begin to outline a plan tailored to your unique needs and discuss how we can work collaboratively toward your desired outcomes. My aim is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable starting your therapeutic journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider include creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working through challenges. I am flexible and adaptive in my approach, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. I also believe in balancing support with challenge, encouraging clients to explore and question their thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors to foster growth and insight.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to serve adult clients who are motivated to engage in treatment and willing to invest in the work necessary to create meaningful change. I specialize in working with individuals navigating addiction, trauma, and ADHD, offering a safe and supportive environment to explore challenges and develop effective coping strategies. My focus is on empowering clients to address patterns of substance use, heal from past experiences, and better manage ADHD symptoms. Together, we work toward achieving your personal goals through a collaborative and compassionate approach.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT combines mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills to treat intense emotions and improve relationships. I am certified in DBT and have been practicing it for many years.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS helps clients explore and harmonize internal parts of themselves, fostering self-awareness and healing from within. I have extensive training in this approach.

EMDR

In sessions, I guide clients through bilateral stimulation techniques, like tapping or eye movements, to help process distressing memories, reduce emotional reactivity, and build healthier perspectives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT emphasizes mindfulness and values-based actions to help clients manage distress and build a fulfilling life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This approach provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions freely. I bring person-centered into each and every session.
