My treatment methods

I seek to provide a secure attachment with my clients. Many of you have attachment wounds from childhood. I will have an attuned presence, and help you connect to your emotional parts, among using other supportive interventions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We all have unproductive thought patterns. I can help you to understand them and the impact they have on your life. We can identify negative thinking and reshape them in a way that changes how you feel. We can navigate new behaviors and putting them into practice.

We all have unconscious processes that manifest in our present behavior. I can help you to develop self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on your present behavior.

Trauma Informed Care

Many of us have a history of trauma or may also be in a current traumatic situation. Trauma can impact survivors’ physical, emotional and behavioral health. I understand the nature of trauma and how it can affect people. I am able to recognize the signs of trauma, can support you through your trauma responses, and will labor to resist re-traumatizing you.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I understand the need to be a culturally competent therapist. I will recognize and respect your beliefs, perspectives, and values, your particular race, ethnicity, or region. You will be in a safe space to discuss any of your needs or concerns.
