*Only Accepting online sessions* Hi, my name is Charleen. I am a Licensed Therapist based in Florida. My typical clients are women in their early 20s to late 30s that are dealing with phase of life issues. That can include a variety of topics such as breakups, career challenges, insecurity, attachment issues, friendship issues, anxiety/depression, and just general "I don't know what I'm doing with my life". I also have worked with many clients from the LGBTQIA community, that are looking for a safe space to seek mental health treatment. I am a gender affirming provider. Living in the age of COVID-19 has really intensified mental health issues for a lot of people. Feelings of isolation, loss, constant stress, awkwardness socializing, and other issues have come up a lot in my practice. I create a comforting and non-judgmental space in my therapy sessions where you are the expert of your life, and I'm here to help figure things out with you. I will provide you with coping skills and a listening ear to all of the challenges you are facing. It's time to put yourself first and stop pouring from an empty cup. Reach out to me to learn more.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will go over your personal history and set goals for therapy. It's basically a get-to-know-you session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in working with individuals with Anxious Attachment in relationships. I also help my clients that lack confidence in themselves and struggle with asserting their needs.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I want to empower my clients to find solutions to their problems and move forward in life.

Feminist

I consider the context of the client's experience of oppression in a patriarchal society while processing as well the intersectional context (race, socioeconomic background, disabilities, etc.)

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT in a relaxed manner that helps the client reframe unhelpful thoughts while also validating the client's experience.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I let the client guide what they need in the session. They are the expert in their own life.

Charleen Gonzalez is fully booked, but don't worry
