Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California. I received my Masters from Grand Canyon University and have been practicing for 5 years. I help individuals discover and/or re-discover their purpose in life and offer support through life challenges. I provide a safe space to help clients feels comfortable discussing events that have impacted their life causing current distress.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction, complete an initial assessment and discuss specific challenges you are facing and how these challenges have created difficulty in areas of your life, i.e., relational, social, occupational and/or educational. We will also develop goals you would like to meet to assist in creating a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I help clients identify influences on current behavior creating challenges in their life, while creating a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young college students who are exploring what it means to be an adult and how to manage their responsibilities. I also enjoy working with college students of all ages and especially if they are balancing work, a relationship and maybe a family too. I help clients reduce feeling overwhelmed and anxious about their education and life.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy encourages clients to speak freely about their emotions, desires, and fears by focusing on unconscious processes as they are evident in present behavior. I help a client gain insight into their lives by evaluating patterns they have developed over-time. Recognizing recurring patterns can help clients become aware of how they avoid distress or develop defense mechanisms to cope. I review life factors that include emotions, thoughts, early life experiences, and beliefs by creating a safe space to assist a client express their feelings. When a client has the ability to openly process their thinking in a non-judgmental environment then the possibility of positive change is attainable.
