My name is Rick Leone and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 30 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, stress and time management, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, death/grief issues and addiction. I am a Master Addiction Counselor helping individuals deal with a variety of addictions. In addition, I also have a Master of Divinity degree, and am able to provide counseling from a spiritual perspective for those who would like it. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating individuals with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I am powerfully positive, but empathetic to those who are not. My approach is eclectic tailoring our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. If you have lost your way or need a tune-up, I am here to journey with you. If you are experiencing a crisis and need to process it, I am here to help you. Please don't waste another day suffering and feeling hopeless. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I desire that my clients leave our sessions having more hope about their future. I want them to learn the skills that they need to deal with the challenges that they are facing in their lives. I will do my best to help them feel empowered to make the changes that they want to make in their lives. Individuals can count on having "homework" assignments to help them reach their goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use the following therapeutic/clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that the therapy is not something "I do to someone". I believe that it is the therapist and the client working together that helps the client achieve the goals that they wish to achieve. I believe in empowering and supporting individuals in achieving their treatment goals.
