Hello, I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker. I received my Masters from the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and my Bachelors from The Ohio State University. I have been working in the social work field for over 20 years and have been licensed for 14 years. I meet clients exactly where they are in their unique journey and help them focus and build on their strengths while working through their challenges. My focus has been working with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and life transitions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introductions and I'll gather some background information. This will help me customize a plan for us to work on together during follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have learned that creating a space that is warm, safe, and comfortable online for my clients is one of my greatest strengths. My style is also a strength. I have a coaching style that is solution-focused, but also empathetic and supportive. I give honest, non-biased advice and welcome constructive feedback throughout our time together.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with the people pleasers, overachievers, multi-taskers and highly sensitive empaths. They do it all and are likely an oldest sibling, caregiver, parent, or "mom" of their friend group. My clients are used to taking care of everyone else and do not know how to take care of themselves. They often feel alone. They do not know how to ask for help. They do not know how to say no. I help them learn how to take care of themselves too.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

this treatment approach is collaborative involving teaching strategies to overcome the negative effects of traumatic experiences. The method includes grounding techniques, emotional regulation, processing memories, and psychoeducation.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

this method combines traditional therapy therapy with mindfulness techniques. This involves noticing and acknowledging thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations while being present in the moment.

Grief Therapy

this type of the therapy is intended to help clients learn how to cope with loss of someone or something loved.
