Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Master's from the University of Southern California (USC) and have been practicing for 5 years. I help adults and teenagers be able to sift through negative thoughts and provide insight into patterns or cycles that show up in your life to help you be the best you can be.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I like to ask questions that help to build our relationship and help me to gain a better understanding of you. I will also be asking you of your goals in therapy so we can begin where you are ready to start.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with different populations from severe to mild cases, I feel has provided me with the patience and insight to begin where the client is at. To be able to push the client where I am able to and understand their own limitations that make us human.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients that are wanting to better understand themselves and how they interact with the world. The clients I work with understand to better help themselves is to reflect on their life and how it has brought them to where they are now. I work with my clients on identifying patterns, processing them, and working on changes that can be made to improve the quality of life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing CBT in my practice since I have started. I have seen it help clients be able to let go of negative thoughts and be able to better manage their emotions. We use CBT to better understand how our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors and cycles we are trying to break.

Relational

I use relational therapy in all my sessions. I feel the relationship between a therapist and their client is very important in order to facilitate change and growth. When our rapport is built I will then incorporate CBT techniques to assist with thoughts and interpersonal relationships.

Psychodynamic

I utilize psychodynamic treatments towards the beginning and middle stages of treatment. I feel it is important for a client to reflect on their past to see how it is affecting their present to better understand themselves and thus create change. I can better identify patterns that continue to be in place in adulthood and work with each other to unlearn those cycles.
