Hello and welcome, First, I want to thank you for looking into therapy with me. I am so excited you are here! I am Anna Marie Bunch, a licensed therapist. Below you will find more information about my background, education, experience, and therapy approach. I am licensed in Kentucky and Ohio with 11 years of professional work experience. I have around 9/10 years of experience working as a private practice clinician. Before this, I worked in a men's residential recovery program for several years during my education and for around 5 years after getting licensed. This was a wonderful experience for me and taught me so much about life and healing. In my private practice experience, I have worked in K-12 schools, in the office, and via telehealth. I am an avid entrepreneur and founded a nonprofit company in 2016 that aims to reduce and eliminate treatment barriers for those facing obstacles in getting therapy and have also started several LLCs similar to that. I have a Master's of Education in Human Services and Counseling. I graduated with honors and hope to one day be able to study neuroscience with Dr. Dispenza. I consider myself a lifelong learner. I also worked as an Adjunct Professor for around 8 years teaching courses in Addictions, Social Work, and Human Services. If you decide to work with me you can expect unconditional love, support, and understanding. I provide constructive feedback, help you identify cognitive distortions or irrational beliefs, identify unhealthy behavior patterns, and/or assist you in identifying your part in things, but if needed, I will do so in a supportive non-threatening way. Often, I have found that most people know what they need to do and I have seen so many of my clients benefit by providing them a safe place to discover and solidify those answers just by simply listening to them and letting them process what they need to. If you do decide to work with me as your therapist we will likely begin by increasing the love you have for yourself. This is because a strong foundation of self-love, advocacy, and respect can be monumental in facilitating change. I have experience in helping clients with a wide variety of issues and circumstances. I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. My therapy approach generally consists of a strong foundation of person-centered therapy and then utilizing other evidence-based approaches with the most common being Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy which is an incredibly effective way to trat past trauma and future based fears. ART is an incredible tool I love to utilize with anyone who wants to try it. I am proud of you for taking this step and I am here to listen, support, and understand you no matter what your circumstances are. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal for all my clients is to enhance their love for themselves. I am very caring and understanding and will do everything I can to assist you. With that being said, I would expect my clients to walk away from sessions with more clarity, peace, kindness to themselves, tools to use in meeting challenges and obstacles they face, different ideas and plans to implement the things they feel they need to, and with a passion to do what they need to for them without apologies.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Narrative Therapy. I also utilize worksheets, homework assignments, teaching coping skills, identifying triggers, and monitoring mood and do any or all of these when the client feels it will benefit them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think my biggest strengths are being able to meet people where they are without judgment and with understanding. I like to give everyone my best and am open to let them grow in the ways they feel they need to. Taking the first step to seek a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
