Hi! I am a licensed Psychotherapist in the states of New Jersey and New York and have been providing psychotherapy services for 25+ years. I am also a certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider and certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. I draw from different theoretical frameworks, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Psychodynamic Therapy, Developmental Psychology, Narrative Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. This allows me to help clients with a variety of issues, including Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Low Self-Esteem, Stress, Burnout, ADHD, Grief, Women’s Issues, Relationship Difficulties, General Life Transition Challenges, and Career Challenges.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming experience. I strive to create a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space. I will conduct an initial assessment to gain a better understanding of your background, history, and current challenges, including any relevant personal, family, and medical history. I will also get clarity about the goals you have for therapy to subsequently formulate an individualized treatment plan.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As a Psychotherapist, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to actively listen, empathize, and build strong therapeutic relationships with my clients. I believe that the foundation of effective therapy is a deep understanding of my clients' experiences, emotions, and perspectives.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
I enjoy working with adult clients of all ages. It is not uncommon at the beginning of treatment for clients to describe that they feel stuck in patterns that are causing distress in their lives. Some may struggle to express their needs, set boundaries, or communicate effectively in relationships. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the progress and growth of my clients. Seeing a client make positive changes and improvements in their mental and emotional well-being is truly gratifying.
