If you are reading this right now, I am proud of you for considering therapy. I believe therapy can benefit everyone whether you are working on healing or just want to learn more about yourself. It is an honor to be able to hear your story, hold space for your pain, and guide you toward a brighter future. I promise to listen without judgment and provide a space where you feel safe and heard. I am passionate about helping adults, children, and families heal from trauma using an integrative approach with evidence-based techniques and mindfulness. I have a special interest in working with court-ordered clients involved in the justice system and empathize with how stressful of an experience that can be. I am committed to working with all clients regardless of gender, age, gender identity, race, health status, national origin, relationship status, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and religion. Now that you've taken the first step, I look forward to meeting with you and learning more about your story!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The therapeutic relationship is just like any other important relationship in that it needs trust to be successful. Our first sessions will focus on building trust and safety so that the counseling space becomes a space you feel comfortable sharing your story in. I believe you are the expert on your own life and I view myself as a guide beside you on your journey. Our sessions will focus on building insight into what is holding you back from achieving your personal goals and improving symptoms.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My treatment approach is integrative but I primarily utilize DBT and trauma-focused CBT interventions. I enjoy integrating mindfulness techniques into each session and welcome my clients bringing their input and creativity into sessions as well. I believe humor can be useful in session and use it often :)

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I strive to be trauma-informed and multi-culturally aware in my sessions and overall practice. I specialize in working with court-mandated and justice-involved clients in addition to providing post-hospitalization therapy services.
