I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana with over 25 years of experience providing counseling primarily in outpatient mental health and public-school settings. I take a non-judgmental approach to encourage clients to share their personal life story and then compassionately challenge them to reframe their life story to define themselves instead of being defined by past and current grievances.
Initial sessions will involve encouraging clients to share their personal story, openly and honestly because there will be no judgement. Then we will identify the client's needs to be addressed with goal-oriented counseling.
I strongly believe establishing a therapeutic relationship is vital and taking an "unconditional, positive regard" with each and every client is my best strength.
I enjoy helping teens and adults face their fears, challenge their beliefs about themselves and the world, and cultivate a life of healing and growth through a holistic counseling approach.
