Hi, my name is Kristy De Leon. Are you successful at work, but unable to have success in your personal life? Have you tried the "self help" books, but finding its not helping? Do you finding yourself scrolling social media for too long? Is there a constant worry that things will not change? I empower high-functioning teens and adults to overcome the obstacles that are keeping them from actualizing their potential. We will work in the here-and-now and use your strengths. I integrate a holistic approach that takes into consideration mind, lifestyle habits, emotions, and spirituality. Each component has an integral part in goal achievement, but more importantly in strengthening the relationship with yourself. Whether you want to enhance your communication skills, have a better handle on overwhelm or heal wounds from relationships - I'm here for you. In our sessions, I will met you will a solution-focused approach that is based in compassion and hope. We will co-create a roadmap with measurable goals and realistic coping skills. You do not have to look further for a safe space. Let's schedule an appointment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session will be centered around gaining an understanding of the obstacles and where you would rather be. My questions will be focused around the here-and-now. My approach is perfect for the person who no longer wants to fully unpack the entire past. During the first few sessions we will work together to create a roadmap towards meeting your goals for therapy. Throughout the journey we will find realistic ways to address the obstacles (negative self talk, imposter syndrome, old habits, toxic relationships, etc.). Each session will be guided by a goal for that session. Our work will be focused yet flexible to accommodate the real life happening between sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach is rooted in solution-focused brief therapy. I do integrate biblical passages (for those seeking a Christianity based therapy) as well as neuropsychology fundamentals. I empower clients with the knowledge of how their experiences have impacted brain functioning. By the organic impact that then further validates the symptoms and creates a better understanding for the need for change. I utilize neurofeedback to help clients re-wire their brains. This form of neurotherapy creates lasting changes and helps clients heal in ways that traditional talk therapy can't.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I thoroughly enjoy working with teens and adults who are ready for change. They are ready for honest conversations and to try something different. Perhaps you are at one of those life transitions and are having difficulty managing personal expectations or adjusting to a new role. Maybe you are feeling lost and alone. Terms my clients commonly use to describe their initial emotions are anxious, extreme sadness, disorganized thoughts, mental fog, or constant fatigue.
