Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I will get to know what brings the client to therapy and the challenges they are facing. I will also understand if they have particular goals for therapy to help guide future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths are on being open and non-judgmental. I also excel at identifying thoughts and beliefs that may be keeping my clients stuck in old patterns in their lives. I have experience personally working with chronic pain and also with substance abuse which often helps me work with clients going through similar experiences.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with adults who struggle with anxiety and self esteem. My clients are searching for confidence and resiliency. My clients are eager to improve while also recognizing that deep change can take time. My clients often struggle with fear, social anxiety and negative thoughts. They often have very high expectations for themselves and others.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my therapy practice, I employ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a transformative approach to help individuals embrace psychological flexibility and lead more meaningful lives. Through ACT, we explore acceptance of difficult thoughts and emotions, fostering a non-judgmental awareness of the present moment. ACT serves as a guiding framework for building a rich and purposeful life, emphasizing the importance of embracing discomfort while pursuing personal growth and fulfillment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based and goal-oriented approach to address a variety of psychological challenges. CBT emphasizes the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, allowing clients to identify and reframe negative thought patterns. CBT is a collaborative and empowering process, equipping individuals with the tools needed to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and achieve lasting improvements in their mental well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to guide individuals towards a more balanced and present-centered way of living. By developing a mindful approach to thoughts and emotions, clients learn to respond to life's challenges with greater clarity and resilience.

Simply put, Anthony's approach to me and what I bring to our sessions is based on warmth and kindness. I'm so grateful for not only our time together but also for Anthony's offering a different perspective on how I see myself and what brings me to therapy. We're not reinventing the wheel, but I'm simply allowing myself to see what's present when I give myself permission to just be still. All in all, Anthony is a mensch.

I looked online for a therapist and chose Anthony because he looks warm (you can tell a lot about a person through looking at their eyes). I was on point, Anthony is non-judge mental, kind, a good listener, has good information for resources and relates to myself as I assume is true with his other patients. Anthony is a keeper.
