Taking the first step toward therapy is not easy. I have enjoyed being a therapist for the past 20 years because I love to help people. I identify the person’s strengths, greatness and uniqueness to guide them in the journey toward their goal in a supportive and nurturing manner. In our work together its important to build trust and know that you are not going to be judged. I will teach you the skills that will empower you in reaching your goals. As a mother of two neurodivergent kids, I know how important it is to have the support and guidance to manage the complexities that being a special needs parent brings. I have had the privilege to work in the NJ Children System of Care for the past 20 years, where I have learned all the resources and treatment options available for children with diverse needs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of NJ and I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Spanish from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, I will welcome you to a safe space where you can begin to express your thoughts and feelings without the fear of judgement. I will explain the expectations of therapy and what does it entail. My goal is to help you feel comfortable with opening up to me to ensure our work together will be effective.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am open, nurturing, direct and strength based. I model for the client healthy ways to engage by using effective communication skills.
