As a Licensed Professional Counselor & Certified School Counselor, I specialize in working with children, teens & young adults facing the complexities of parental divorce, significant life transitions (relocation, college, loss, break-up), anxiety, failure to launch, trauma, self-esteem, and Gifted & Talented & ADHD challenges. I also offer individual counseling for adults dealing with major life change (college, entering the workforce, break- up, move, etc), anxiety, depression, teacher burnout, and parenting challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will ask you more questions than normal during my initial intake. This will allow me to get to know you better and gain a better insight into what you want to accomplish. There are no wrong answers. It's normal to feel nervous or uncomfortable when first starting therapy or meeting someone new. My vibe is relaxed, warm, and calm. We are all just walking each other home.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My ability to make authentic connections with my clients (of all ages) is my greatest strength as a provider.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Children, Teens, Young Adult (College to early years in career)

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Utilizing CBT, I will help you identify & challenge your unhealthy or unhelpful thoughts leading you to negative patterns. We will focus on strategies that help improve your emotional regulation even in situations/environments that are out of your control.

Play Therapy

Utilizing Play Therapy, I will provide a safe and comforting environment for your child to freely express their emotions, develop problem solving skills, & enhance communication and social skills through the power of play (your child's natural medium of expression).

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy, we will focus on finding solutions to specific problems rather than analyzing the problems themselves. This approach will be short term and goal focused.
