About me

My name is Emily and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana. I received my Masters from the University of Indianapolis and have been practicing for 6 years. I work with children, adolescents, and their families to help manage behavior, use coping skills, and improve relationships. I also work with adults seeking support for anxiety during life transitions/change, stress, and relationships.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will start with introductions, then discuss the reason you're seeking therapy at this time. I will also gather background information and help you identify your goals for treatment so we can form a treatment plan that is specific to your needs. We will spend time building rapport to ensure that I am the best provider to walk along side you in meeting your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I prioritize meeting the client where they are and supporting them in a way that is specific to their needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love to work with people who are understanding of their need for support and open to change in order to improve their overall functioning and lives. My clients want to improve, but often need help figuring out where to start or how to use appropriate coping skills.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I incorporate Christian counseling into my therapy practice when requested by the client to integrate faith-based principles and values into therapeutic interventions. This offers clients a holistic approach that addresses both their psychological and spiritual well-being. This approach can provide comfort, guidance, and a deeper sense of purpose for clients seeking to align their faith with their mental health journey.

Eclectic

I use an eclectic approach in my therapy practice because it allows me to customize interventions based on each client's specific needs and preferences. By drawing from various therapeutic modalities, I can provide flexibility and effectiveness in addressing a wide range of issues. This approach enhances client engagement and promotes positive therapeutic outcomes by integrating the most appropriate techniques for each individual.
