Yes! You already took the first step by reading this, so let’s take the rest together. I get it, you may have been dealing with life, and all of its problems, alone. It’s stressful and it seems as though it's easier to just give up, but before you do, imagine this… What if I told you that you do not have to experience that anymore? What if I told you that it gets easier and more manageable with a therapist? Would that change your mind? Life can be hard and feeling like you have to handle it all on your own is even harder. We want to feel heard, understood, and supported, but sometimes, people really just don’t understand. People may recommend therapy as an option, but usually that is met with “But there’s nothing wrong with me.” I always say that when someone seeks therapy, it doesn’t mean something is wrong with them, it means that they are dedicated to making sure nothing goes wrong. Going through therapy can be overwhelming at times, but with the right support and an open mind, therapy can be a very rewarding experience towards peace of mind and an improved quality of life. The best part about therapy is that YOU are in control! It is a journey that we will take together with you in the driver’s seat and me guiding you from the passenger side, and maybe choosing an awesome playlist from time to time! (As you can see, I like to add a little humor). I hope that once we develop a trusting relationship, we can work together to address some of your concerns and goals for the future. You made it this far, why not see if we’re a good match?

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have a unique way of using various therapeutic modalities that are tailored to the person I am working with. That can range from the use of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy), Problem-Solving Therapeutic Practices, Strength-Based Counseling, Solution-Focused Counseling, and Motivational Interviewing. I also utilize talk therapy and simply listening as Person-Centered Therapy is at the foundation of my practice. I also hope to incorporate some of your interests as well whether it be music, art, nature, poetry and literature, sports, or maybe some humor and laughter so that we can just be ourselves!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of the most rewarding things about therapy is having someone to just listen and understand. I have learned that sometimes, listening and connecting with those who sometimes don’t want advice or want to fix anything, just want someone who listens. I also model the techniques that I share with you. Remember, you are not taking this journey alone so for you to learn, grow, and feel confident in the work that you’re putting into therapy, I do my best to walk you through practices that you can use outside of therapy.
