Hey there! My name is Ashley and I am an EMDR trained, Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the behavioral health field for almost 10 years. In each session, I enjoy utilizing an evidence-based, person-centered and solution-focused approach. This allows us to get you to your highest level of functioning at a pace you are most comfortable with while providing a compassionate nudge that is sometimes needed. I have experience in helping clients learn to cope with addiction and recovery, anger management, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and trauma. I believe you're the expert of your own story and have many innate strengths that will assist you in overcoming daily challenges and past trauma. I enjoy utilizing my strengths of compassion and empathy to help empower you to seek out a more fulfilling and joyful life. I am here to walk alongside you on this journey we call life! ❤️ "Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start." - Nido Qubein

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strength is the ability to help people feel at ease, unjudged and comfortable being who they are. The lack of inner acceptance makes it much more difficult to overcome external stressors and past circumstances or trauma.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Ages 18 and up, motivated for change and willing to do the work.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

So much of life is about perspective and how we choose to think about things. CBT is utilized to help identify learned patterns of maladaptive behavior and unhelpful ways of thinking, in order to learn better ways of coping. Learning better ways of coping assists in relieving symptoms that prevent living a more effective and fulfilled life.
