8 years of experience

I am an EMDR trauma therapist with a specialized focus on complex childhood trauma, as well as individuals who struggle with people-pleasing tendencies and the "Good Girl (Guy)" syndrome. My therapeutic approach is dedicated to addressing the intricate and interconnected challenges that arise from these experiences. In our sessions, we will collaboratively explore the complex layers of childhood trauma and its lasting impact on your life. We will work to unravel the roots of people-pleasing behaviors and the pressures associated with conforming to societal expectations, especially the "Good Girl (Guy)" image. EMDR therapy will be a key tool in processing past traumas, negative beliefs, and emotional wounds, allowing for profound healing and transformation. I am committed to creating a safe and empathetic therapeutic space where you can gradually release the burdens of your past, build resilience, establish healthy boundaries, and cultivate self-empowerment. If you're ready to embark on a journey towards healing, self-discovery, and reclaiming your authentic self, please reach out to make an appointment. Together, we will work towards lasting positive change and a brighter future. ***Recognized as a TOP PROVIDER by Grow Therapy*** EMDR training through EMDRIA approved agency. Follow me on Facebook:

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first therapy session, you can anticipate a welcoming and compassionate environment where I will take the time to understand your unique needs and concerns. This session typically includes an initial assessment, listening to your experiences, and discussing therapy goals and approaches. It's a crucial opportunity to establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust and empathy, setting the stage for a holistic and supportive journey towards improved mental health and well-being.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my greatest strength lies in my ability to connect with individuals, offering steadfast compassion and support during challenging moments, effectively becoming a crucial part of your support network. I embrace a hands-on approach, firmly believing that the trust forged within the therapeutic relationship is the most significant factor in determining the success of our therapeutic journey.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

Holistic and compassionate approach to trauma using somatic techniques to help the body feel safe again in order to encourage lasting healing rather than a short term fix.

My therapeutic approach incorporates elements of psychoeducation, somatic techniques, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address mental health symptoms stemming from repressed emotions and feelings. This approach emphasizes a mind-body holistic perspective with the goal of reconnecting clients with their authentic selves. This integrative approach aligns with the understanding that mental health is interconnected with physical sensations and experiences. Psychoeducation involves providing clients with information about the mind-body connection, helping them understand how emotions and thoughts can impact physical well-being. Somatic techniques focus on the body's role in processing emotions, often using exercises or practices to release tension and promote awareness of bodily sensations. EMDR, on the other hand, is a therapeutic technique designed to help individuals process traumatic memories and experiences. Combining these approaches allows for a comprehensive understanding and treatment of mental health issues, acknowledging the intricate relationship between mind and body.
