Hello, My name is Laura Crumley, I look forward to meeting you. Life can feel overwhelming at times—like you’re stuck in a fog or weighed down by obstacles that seem impossible to move. But what if clarity was within reach? What if healing and change were truly possible? As a counselor, I come alongside individuals to help them explore what’s keeping them stuck, discover new perspectives, and move toward greater peace, purpose, and emotional freedom. I invite you to take that first step on a journey toward healing, growth, and wholeness—one where you don’t have to walk alone.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other in a relaxed and supportive environment. I’ll ask about your background and the specific challenges that have brought you to therapy, so I can better understand your story. From there, we’ll begin to identify your goals and collaborate on a personalized plan that aligns with your needs, values, and pace. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a safe, judgment-free space where you are free to come exactly as you are. I meet each person with compassion and curiosity, helping uncover unhealthy beliefs or patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll explore practical techniques and build new skills to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. When you're ready to move forward and leave the pain behind, I invite you to schedule an appointment. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and wholeness.
I work with individuals who are navigating a variety of life challenges—whether it’s grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, or spiritual concerns. Many of my clients are seeking clarity, emotional healing, and a safe space to explore both their struggles and their strengths. I work with anyone from any faith or religion. I do specialize in working with those who desire to integrate their Christian faith into the counseling process, using both clinical tools and biblical principles to support healing and growth. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of support, I meet you where you are and walk with you at your pace—offering insight, encouragement, and practical tools for lasting change.
Through an eclectic therapeutic approach, I’m able to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and circumstances. This allows me to step into their world with empathy and flexibility, meeting them where they are. For instance, I might begin with grief-focused therapy for a client who has recently lost a parent or spouse. As deeper layers of anxiety emerge over time, I can integrate complementary techniques—such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)—to help reduce the intensity of those emotional experiences and support continued healing.
I work with people of all faiths and beliefs, and I'm also available to provide a biblical perspective for those who request it. As a believer for nearly 30 years, I have come to deeply value the importance of individuals embracing their identity as image-bearers of God. In my work as a Christian counselor, I meet each client with grace, empathy, and clinical insight—recognizing their current emotional and spiritual state as the foundation for meaningful healing and growth.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside many individuals through the grieving process, and I’ve come to recognize that loss is experienced in deeply personal and unique ways. Creating space for clients to express their emotions and move through the various phases of grief at their own pace is essential. I’ve found that allowing individuals to not only explore their pain but also reflect on meaningful memories can be a pivotal part of healing. In doing so, many are able to rediscover a sense of hope for the future—even if it looks different than they once imagined.
Scripture offers timeless wisdom and guidance, pointing us toward truth and hope. Yet in seasons of pain—whether from anxiety, depression, grief, or daily struggles—it can be difficult to access or apply those truths. In faith-based counseling, I begin by understanding where each individual is in their walk with Christ, and from there, I walk alongside them on a path toward healing and restoration. This journey is grounded in the finished work of Jesus, who is both the beginning and end of true transformation.
Distorted thinking patterns that lead to emotional distress or destructive behaviors are more common than many realize. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and challenge these unhelpful thoughts. Many have found that by replacing them with more constructive and realistic perspectives, they gain a practical and empowering pathway to lasting change in their daily lives.
