I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) based in New York. I received my Masters Degree from the State University of Stony Brook and have been practicing for 24 years. I help young adults, adults, and the geriatric population better manage daily stressors including anxiety, depression, grief, work-life balance, couples therapy, women's issues, self-esteem, and empowerment. I specialize in mindfulness, CBT, exposure therapy, couples therapy and strengths therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with many different populations over the past 24 years, I've developed a great tool-box for helping people identify the true reasons for their struggles and their desires for wanting to improve. I help people focus on the here and now while exploring how the past plays an important role in current struggles.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I truly enjoy working with people who are at a phase in their life where they need some extra support and are eager to improve their well-being. I would love for my clients to be motivated to improve and be open to learning about different tools needed to make great strides with their daily lives.

Mind-body approach

I utilize this approach with patients who suffer from negative thinking, intrusive thoughts, and anxiety and depression. I explain how what we tell our brain, is what it believes and how our thoughts are connected to how we feel.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize this treatment method to help patients challenge and change their cognitive distortions such as beliefs thoughts and attitudes and the behaviors associated with them. I use this technique to help improve emotional regulation.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I utilize this treatment method when helping patients overcome fears related to Anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, Trauma and Depression.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I utilize this method to help patients become more aware of their thoughts and feelings in the present moment.
