Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who obtained my graduate degree from UCLA. I have 7 years of experience providing direct clinical services. I am passionate about creating an affirming space for growth and healing, and am deeply committed to empowering my clients to develop resilience, navigate challenges, and thrive. It is my life's goal to advance social justice and mental health equity, and believe that all people have a right to quality mental healthcare regardless of their identity or financial resources.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, my priority will be to learn more about what has led you to seek mental health services, what you hope to gain from treatment, and how I can be of service to you. I know it can be scary meeting a new person and discussing such vulnerable topics (especially if it's your first time meeting with a therapist!), so please rest assured that we will move at your pace, and will work collaboratively to develop a plan for treatment that matches your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I pride myself on my ability to foster trust with my clients, always centering their goals due to my conviction that people are the experts of their own lives. I believe that a therapist's role is not to tell people how to live their lives, but instead to ask questions, observe and identify patterns, and provide psycho-education to contextualize behaviors and symptoms. My goal is to support my clients in making their lives look the way THEY want them to look, balancing their ability to change the things they would like to change, and cope with the things that are outside of their control.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in working with teens and adults as they navigate life transitions/stressors, mental health challenges, recovering from trauma, relationships, and identity development. In my career I have had the opportunity to serve a wide variety of clients, and pride myself on my ability to connect with others, regardless of differences that may exist between us. This is especially true for individuals who struggle with being emotionally vulnerable or who have had difficulty building rapport with previous providers.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has been my primary specialty for 6 years, and I serve as DBT team leader and group facilitator at a county-contracted agency. In my private practice, I utilize DBT principles to support individual clients in achieving greater emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and overall well-being. I employ a structured yet flexible approach tailored to each client’s unique needs. My sessions emphasize building practical skills to navigate challenges, balance acceptance with change, and foster resilience. Through a collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based framework, I aim to empower clients to overcome obstacles, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have received formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and utilize CBT-informed treatment to help individual clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, I guide clients in developing practical strategies to reframe negative thinking, build healthier habits, and address specific challenges. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, empowering clients to gain insight into their thought processes, practice new coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change in their daily lives. Through evidence-based techniques, I provide clients with the tools they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their personal goals.
