Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I will spend the first session getting to know you and learning what led you to seek out therapy. Then, we’ll explore some of your unique challenges that will be the focus of our future sessions. I think that its important for my clients to acknowledge their wants and needs. From there we prioritize goals and begin to develop a plan to achieve said goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a provider, my greatest strength is my compassion and helping clients understand their experiences while providing tools to overcome challenges and becoming the best version of themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

During our sessions, you will feel heard, supported and empowered. I am a good listener, compassionate and caring. I provide a positive, respectful and non-judgmental safe space where you can express your feelings and realize your potential.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT works great for those who enjoy having some homework between sessions. Change begins with awareness. I teach clients to "think about what they're thinking about" and take note of your feelings.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

The goal of mindfulness is to learn to stay in the present moment without worrying about the past or future. To stay fully present with all your awareness and senses can sometimes be very difficult.

Words can't express how grateful I am to have Heather as part of my life. She has helped me grow into the person I was meant to be. She is truly a gem who cares about people. She doesn't hesitate to challenge you, which can be hard, but necessary in order to gain an understanding of your issues and gain the insight on how to push forward.
