What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, they give clients space to discuss what brought them to therapy/back to therapy and their goals/desires in the therapeutic relationship as well as space to discuss what those might be if unknown. Terry also reviews the general flow of sessions, goes deeper into modalities used and offers space for questions. Initial frequency of sessions are also discussed at that time.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Their strengths as a provider are in the areas of LGBTQ+ issues, relationships, trauma, abuse, and neurodivergence. They always meet their clients where they are at each session and will adapt to new issues, needs etc and not be confined to an agenda. When appropriate, she also provides challenging insights, interactive feedback, information via email and/or in session and empowers clients to view their situation in new ways.
