As a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am committed to providing comprehensive and empathetic care to assist you with becoming the best version of yourself. I establish amazing therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, and groups. With 14 years of experience in the field, I specialize in a range of therapeutic modalities designed to support clients through various life challenges and mental health concerns. I am retired Army so I also have a unique perspective on the challenges faced by our military members and their families.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Whether you have been in therapy before or it's your first the first session will possibly come with some anxiety, hesitation, resistance, and the need to establish an atmosphere of trust and emotional safety. This will be the cornerstone of the work we will accomplish together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a Provider, my former clients have referred to me as easy to open up to, non-judgemental, fair but firm in not allowing the unavoidable stressors of the world take us off of our path.

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I have been using Child-Parent Psychotherapy to improve family dynamics for 7 years. My use of Child Parent Psychotherapy involves a comprehensive, relational approach that focuses on healing through strengthening the bond between child and caregiver. This method addresses the immediate impacts of a variety of circumstances and also fosters long-term emotional health and resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using CBT, I empower clients to take an active role in their treatment, providing them with the tools and strategies to manage their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions effectively. This approach not only addresses current issues but also equips clients with skills to handle future challenges, promoting long-term mental health and well-being.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

By using CPT, I aim to help clients understand and reframe their trauma-related thoughts and beliefs, reduce their PTSD symptoms, and improve their overall functioning and quality of life. This structured and evidence-based approach empowers clients to gain control over their trauma responses and fosters long-term healing and resilience.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

By integrating culturally sensitive approaches, I aim to create a therapeutic environment that honors and respects each client's cultural identity, promotes trust, and enhances the effectiveness of therapy. This approach not only addresses individual mental health needs but also supports clients in navigating the broader cultural and social contexts of their lives.

Group Therapy

Group therapy allows us to create a supportive and transformative space where individuals can connect, share, and grow together. The collective experience of the group helps members to feel less isolated, gain new perspectives, and develop valuable coping skills and interpersonal strategies.
