Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Maryland. I received my Master's from the University of Southern California and have been practicing for 7 years. I help adults struggling with mood disorders, depression, and anxiety navigate their symptoms and find effective coping mechanisms to help them succeed. Using a variety of treatment modalities I aim to help clients grow while feeling supported and understood throughout the process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will begin to build rapport and understand what brings you to therapy. Together we will build a treatment plan built on your goals and my skill set to help you move towards those stated goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Using empathy and unconditional positive regard I help build trust and a safe therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their most vulnerable thoughts and feelings.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In therapy, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to their emotional distress. Through techniques like cognitive restructuring, journaling, and behavioral activation, I guide clients in developing healthier, more adaptive ways of thinking and behaving. CBT is an evidence-based approach that empowers clients to take an active role in their healing process, promoting lasting change in how they perceive and respond to life’s challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based approaches to help clients align their actions with their personal goals. By incorporating mindfulness practices, I guide clients in developing greater self-awareness and presence, allowing them to better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions. This awareness helps them stay focused on their goals, make intentional choices, and respond more effectively to challenges, fostering a deeper connection to their values and enhancing their overall well-being.

Motivational Interviewing

In therapy, I use Motivational Interviewing to support clients in exploring and resolving their ambivalence toward change. By fostering a collaborative and non-judgmental environment, I help clients articulate their own reasons for wanting to change, aligning these reasons with their core values and goals. This approach empowers clients to build their intrinsic motivation, enhancing their commitment to making positive, lasting changes in their lives.

Trauma Informed Care

In therapy sessions, I incorporate trauma-informed care by creating a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment where clients feel respected and understood. I prioritize building trust, acknowledging the impact of trauma on their lives, and ensuring that interventions are sensitive to their experiences. By focusing on empowerment, choice, and collaboration, I help clients regain a sense of control and resilience, guiding them through their healing journey at their own pace.

Positive Psychology

In therapy sessions, I use positive psychology to help clients focus on their strengths, cultivate gratitude, and enhance their overall well-being. By encouraging clients to recognize and build on what is already going well in their lives, I support them in developing resilience, optimism, and a sense of purpose. This strengths-based approach empowers clients to create a more fulfilling and meaningful life, fostering personal growth and long-term happiness.
