I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. Therefore, my role is to assist you in finding solutions that benefit you in the best way possible. My area of focus is working with teens and adults on stress, anxiety, and depression. My highest priority as a therapist is cultivating a space for you, the client, to feel safe, supported, and unconditionally accepted. I have been doing therapy for 24 years and am passionate and committed to supporting others on their healing journey. My clinical approach is person-centered first and foremost, while incorporating cognitive-behavioral and motivational interviewing methods to focus on your goals and motivations, and target what solutions are most effective and appropriate for you. As a licensed clinical social worker and fellow human, I know the importance of telling your story in a safe space. You need to feel heard, supported, and seen, and you need to allow the courageous healing process to take place. You need to let out what you have been holding in, laugh, cry, feel, and express all your emotions to celebrate your strengths and personal growth. Therapy takes commitment and willingness to show up and be your true self in a safe and supportive way. If you are ready to do the work to make the changes and feel better, I am looking forward to starting a professional working relationship with you. Best Sabra

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will begin discussing your issues and concerns about coming to therapy. We will also start building a trusting, open, and therapeutic relationship so that you can commit and show up for yourself to make the changes that you desire outside of therapy. In starting therapy, it is most effective to meet weekly and then, when progress is being made, to change to every other week.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use a warm and open approach to therapy. I have experience in helping and supporting clients with life issues, relationships, and ways to be their best selves. I also have a lived experience personally and professionally that has helped me learn we are human and make mistakes, can heal, and do not have to be perfect. I believe we can be our best selves through self-care, self-love, and self acceptance. Therapy is not magic; it's work that can create results that you need and want.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I do not have a one way approach to working with a client, but I start from a place of you knowing your strengths.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients to look at an issue or problem from how are you feeling, what is the thought, to want to change the thought or keep it. And then you can better decide what to do or not to do.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)

I am trained and skilled and use this regularly with my clients to help them achieve their goals in therapy.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I am trained and skilled and use this regularly with my clients to help them achieve their goals in therapy.
