Hello. Thank you for taking an interest in me. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Michigan. I provide psychotherapy , medication management and school support. In addition to mental health services, I am a 30 year healthcare veteran with experience in the school setting and a specialized nursing certification in obstetrical nursing. I love to listen and provide guidance for the healing journey.
Our first session will focus on gathering information. The information is gathered on intake forms and also screening tools. We discuss any information you wish to share about why you are seeking care. After reviewing this information, we decide what areas you want to focus on.
My ability to listen and discern. Sometimes our time will include silence. Our goal is for my clients to learn that the time with me is a safe and non judgmental space to start the healing process.
Everyone has the right to seek mental health care. People from vulnerable populations are often the people that attach a stigma to therapeutic services. I would love to decrease the stigma of mental health by serving vulnerable populations and providing education about mental health conditions.
