Hey there! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio. I completed training in order to obtain my Supervisor Endorsement in March 2023 while on maternity leave and now advise therapists looking to obtain their independent license. I graduated with B.A. in Psychology in 2014, with a M.S. in Applied Developmental Psychology with an emphasis as a Behavior Specialist in 2016, and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. Since then, I have completed trainings and furthering education in various topics.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will spend time getting to know each other and working through your intake discussing symptoms, history, and treatment goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in the mental health field for the past 9 years. Starting out as a home based support staff, I spent time with children and families working on behavior management, communication, and symptom management skills. Then I transitioned into my role as a case manager. While completing those same tasks, I was able to increase my knowledge in community resources and organizations and assist in the transference of therapeutic skills in order to better help my clients. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT since becoming a therapist. It's helped many clients learn to identify and challenge reoccurring thoughts impacting their ability to function. Whether it's anxiety, depression, anger management, or relationship conflict to we focus on ways of changing your thinking patterns, behavior, and ultimately your feelings to improve your lifestyle.

Family Therapy

My approach to counseling can include others within the family to explore dynamics, perspectives, and healthy methods to moving forward as a whole system to improve functioning.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Through my conversations with clients, there is a focus on identifying and addressing emotions, thoughts, and behaviors as they arise. We work towards finding ways of coping and managing the most difficult emotions by learning to accept rather than avoid them. I will always encourage my clients to continue applying what we practice into their daily lives.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing involves the collaboration between myself and my clients focused on the hesitancy towards change and empowerment to make the necessary steps towards success.
