Experiential therapy focuses on expressive techniques and interventions connecting the body and mind. By doing this in the here and now, we can gain insight, develop coping skills, and resolve issues. It allows for improved emotion regulation thereby reducing stress/anxiety and improving relationships.
By understanding how our thoughts contribute to our actions and emotions, we gain better understanding of ourselves. This also allows for the development of skills to take a more active approach to our reactions and our experiences.
Psychodynamic therapy helps to explore the impact of early childhood experiences on our way of understanding and experiencing the world around us. By identifying and resolving unresolved conflicts or unconscious defensives/motives, we can enhance interpersonal relationships, improve self awareness and develop better coping skills.
We all have potential within us to be the best version of ourselves. A humanistic approach to therapy recognizes this potential in a client centered holistic perspective. By exploring, in a safe and supportive environment, your unique experiences, perceptions, and values, we foster self-awareness. By taking this perspective rather than focusing on external factors, we take responsibility for our own lives to allow for self growth.
An integrative approach to treatment allows for flexibility based on the clients needs. By using different modalities in an integrative fashion, treatment can be truly tailored to the client rather than fitting the client into one box and one way of understanding from one perspective.
