Do you find yourself tired of having other people's worldviews and judgments imposed upon you? Do you feel that no matter how hard you try, nothing you do is ever enough? It is my goal to provide a safe space where clients can truly be themselves without fear of judgment. As a result, I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy. I work to tailor each session to fit the needs of the person/persons in front of me. I work with couples and families to help them find peace and stability in their relationships. I also have extensive experience working with children and teenagers, having worked with them in various settings and roles. These experiences enable me to consider every aspect of their life, and how they affect the child and teen's well being and mental health. I am honored to work with my clients, and do not take the responsibility lightly. During our sessions I will offer compassion, hope and ways to deal with the issues you are facing.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
By working with me, my clients will take away a deeper understanding of the issues they are facing as well as a plan for action.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy and understand that no one treatment method works for all clients. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and work with clients to challenge negative self-talk. When working with couples, I pull from Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am specially trained in working with couples and families; however, I also have extensive experience working with individuals. I offer a non-judgmental setting and encourage my clients to open up without fear of judgment.
