I am a patient and empathic therapist who is passionate about connecting with others and supporting them on their paths toward growth. I strongly believe that each person holds within them the strength to overcome life's challenges and may benefit from reflection, guidance and skills gained working with a therapist to get there. I am an integrative therapist who draws from relational psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based techniques as fits the needs of individual clients. I work with adult clients, and also have the experience and therapeutic expertise to work with child and adolescent clients. My approach allows for a safe and contained space for self-expression and to process challenging experiences. My areas of clinical expertise include trauma, anxiety, depression, life changes, grief and loss, and relational issues. I look forward to partnering with you on your healing journey.
Have you been feeling overwhelmed or coping with painful emotions? I support my clients to share and gain insight into the origin of their challenges -- but, as importantly, my goal is for you to leave sessions with strategies to help make those difficult emotions more manageable in the here-and-now. You can expect that I will be open with you and receptive to feedback as we co-create your therapeutic journey.
I am reflective, patient and have a deep understanding of the impact of stressful or traumatic experiences. I will work with you to create a safe therapeutic space for your growth and exploration during sessions.
I use cognitive-behavioral therapy as a foundational intervention to help clients increase their awareness of anxious or unhelpful thoughts/beliefs, and learn coping skills to better manage those thoughts and experiences.
I am trained in EMDR, which is an evidence-based approach that uses dual-attention stimulation to help clients reprocess traumatic experiences, integrate more positive beliefs, and gain new insights.
I draw on mindfulness and acceptance-based practices to help my clients attune to their emotions and bodily sensations, reduce anxiety and feel more present and centered.
