Hello! I am Kala, an LMFT located in the Southern California. I am trained and certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization Response (EMDR) Therapy and Havening Touch. Generally, I specialize in working with individuals healing from difficult life experiences that have changed the way they feel about themselves or the world. I also enjoy working with individuals going through life transitions, such as college, or looking to work on increasing more positive feelings in their day to day.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am untraditional in the sense that I do prefer therapy to feel more conversational and two-sided, rather than the traditional one-sided setting. Therapy is unlike any other relationship you will have, meaning we will get into the touchy-feely much quicker than you would when first meeting someone. It is important for me to get as much information initially to ensure I am able to best serve your needs. With that being said, I know something take time and that is okay. The heart of the first session is to ensure you feel informed and comfortable with what is working together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my authenticity. I do not have any hidden agendas and believe it is important for my clients to understand and participate in their healing journey. I do not assume to know what you need any better than you do. You are the expert on yourself, I am simply here to remind you that you have always had everything you need to live the life that you want. We are in this together.
