Hi! Let me be the first to tell you that I am proud of you for taking the first step in finding a therapist that fits your needs. Are you ready to take back control in your life and heal in areas you feel stuck? I enjoy working with many different populations and have experience with clients age 18-75. Life can be hard at many different stages and I am honored to walk alongside every single client. My main focus has been working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational struggles and life transition - from college to the work world, relationship changes, and grief. My goal is to help you explore your strengths, identify your struggles, and grow along the way. Taking the first step towards counseling can be very intimidating, so know that my goal is to provide a safe and accepting space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions so you can begin the journey of healing. I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is focused on intake and gathering some personal and family history. This helps me get a more wholistic understanding of you and assist me in customizing your treatment. We will always leave intake with some potential goals for you to strive towards. Our following sessions will start with you identifying a specific focus so that you can start the process of reaching your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is helping clients discover their strengths. Many times this comes in the form of resolving and healing trauma that has created a stuck point. Trauma can exacerbate anxiety and depression symptoms and stand in the way of truly connecting within relationships.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and use EMDR to process trauma, reduce anxiety, and heal old wounds. My focus is on my client’s strengths and ways you can take back control when life can be overwhelming. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and utilize this and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my work with anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationships.
