I have been working in the field as a social worker for over 20 years. My work has been with children, adolescents and adults that have faced numerous challenges whether that be mental health issues, behavioral concerns, family issues, etc. I use a client centered approach and work with the client to ensure that their treatment is individualized and addresses their presenting concerns. I use a collaborative approach with my clients in order to work towards treatment goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, intake paperwork will be completed as well as a very detailed biopsychosocial assessment to gather important background information. We will discuss the presenting concerns and what outcomes the client is working towards. Based off this session, we will identify what the needs are such as frequency and duration of treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use a very open-minded approach when it comes to my clients. I understand that everyone has a story that needs to be heard and I treat my clients with dignity and respect. I try to identify ways that I can assist that will allow my clients to feel valued and appreciated.
