Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and have been practicing for 7 years. I help adults, adolescents, and veterans overcome challenging time with a variety of issues. I am a veteran and a Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselor based in Texas. As a counselor I volunteered at a local church.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial session the client can expect conversation that will create a therapeutic relationship. Some clients know the goal they would like to achieve while others will identify their goals while conversing. My task is to work together with the client to create obtainable goal so that the client can live a fulfilling life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider I feel that being understanding and nonjudging is important when working with the client. As a counselor I feel that placing myself in my clients places helps strengthen the therapeutic relationship and reaching the goals.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize Person-centered therapy for about eight years because it allows the client to feel comfortable in therapy knowing that the counselor will create a therapeutic relationship and be empathetical with the client.

EMDR

I have practice EMDR for three year. I have utilized EMDR with clients that experience sexual abuse, auto mobile accidents, and to improve self-esteem.

Eclectic

Clients needs vary and sometime changing modalities to reach the clients goals is necessary. Life changes and sometimes clients just need to vent while other times client need to challenge thoughts. Understanding how different treatments work to reach clients goals is important.
