Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York. I received my masters at Long Island University and have been practicing for over four years. My focus is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where people can openly express and process life challenges or psychological concerns. I will be here to support you through change in order to live your best life.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I believe the therapist to client relationship is an essential part of successful therapy. In the first session, my aim is to build rapport so that my clients can feel comfortable and safe. I would like to get the "whole picture" of your life and what has brought you to therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Having worked over four years with a wide variety of age, life challenges, and psychological concerns, I've developed a style using nonjudgement, understanding and humor in order to assist my clients in understanding their challenges.

VirtualMy treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a method that helps people break down overwhelming problems into more manageable parts. My aim is to help clients identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and how they impact their lives. At first we will figure out what can be changed and then I will help you practice these changes in your daily life. I will push you to question negative thoughts and assist in reframing or replacing them.
Supportive
My main goal in therapy is to support my clients in expressing and processing difficult life circumstances or psychological challenges. Through supportive therapy, I will provide emotional support, encouragement, and validation. My job will be to support you in talking about your feelings, concerns and problems in a safe and nonjudgemental environment.
Psychodynamic
My goal is to help my clients identify emotional processes that influence behavior. By exploring one's past and childhood experiences, we can identify how these experiences continue to impact psychological well being. I believe it is important to examine someone's past in order to understand their current challenges.
Psychoeducation
I believe that knowledge and understanding of psychological challenges is a key part of healing, acceptance and a path towards a better life. Through this modality I will provide information about client's mental health concerns in order to reduce shame and improve self-awareness, problem-solving and coping skills.
