Greetings, I'm Sonya There are times that we have all have felt a loss of your sense of self. On a journey but not sure which turn to make? Feeling anxious, confused, sad, angry or just blah? Having great friends, watching self-help Tik Tok segments but still not feeling ok or where to turn? I have a calm and accepting presence that allows me to be relatable and build rapport with my clients. I provide a space where there in no judgement, an environment of calmness and peace so that clients feel supported and heard. Together we will evaluate and process situations that are impacting your life. I will empower you to develop and implement strategies that can be beneficial in all aspects of your life. I look forward to assisting you in finding a peaceful resolution.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
While there are various approaches to therapy, I firmly believe it is not a one size fits all approach. Each individiual is unique in their own way. It is my goal to work in synergy as you modify or create your journey. I utilize a combination of treatment paths that include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered and mindfullness techniques. These approaches I believe are beneficial with empowering individuals to reach their goals.
I have a passion for working with individuals that struggle with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, ADHD, and relationship issues. I have also provided group and individual therapy with teens struggling with anger, anxiety and self-discovery.
