My Ideal client is one that has been to therapy before, maybe even a few therapists and feels like "It just hasn't worked". I have a strong track record for breaking through barriers that previously haven't resonated for clients before. Because I have highly specialized additional trainings that focus on other approaches to access subconscious or suppressed material, I use versatile ways to explore thins that often we are unaware of, yet are the driving force behind many of the things we do.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session will focus on building rapport, getting to know the client, their presenting concerns and goals for treatment so we can collaborate together on the client's desired outcome. We will explore your history as pertinent to the presenting matter and particularly if helpful to understanding the relevant issues at hand. We will then look at creative solutions and actions to work towards your desired goals and outcomes. We work together at your pace.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Penetrating the subconscious, fostering new insights, creating new paradigms and greater context for patients so they can feel hopeful and recognize solutions

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use an ecclectic approach based on each clients individual needs. I am certified in DBT and EMDR and use that as appropriate as well. I am a results oriented clinician and believe that lssting results come from action action action! Life happens in action and not just in our thoughts and therefor therapy goals have to incorporate a plan of action too. I focus on solutions and although I think it's imperative to explore the past in order to gain an understanding of who you are, a strong part of therapy also focuses on solutions.

Couples Counseling

Family systems, Gottman method and relational dynamics-a combination of these modalities explore interpersonal relationships and the dynamics between two or more people. Here we explore how we learned to relate and where our notions of rrelating come from and how they get expressed in our current relationships. This is an amazing opportunity to explore patterns in your interpersonal relationships.

EMDR

Work Heavily with Trauma using EMDR which tends to produce rapid transformation and often accesses subconscious material using eye desensitization movement. EMDR is a unique approach to treating trauma and supressed material individuals struggle with.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

With individuals, not DBT groups although I have run DBT groups before, I currently only use DBT with individuals.
