“My mission as a therapist is to create a compassionate culturally sensitive environment for my clients through my undivided attention and full support in order to promote safe expression, acceptance and guidance through life difficult moments”. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. Therapy could be your first step to your journey toward finding your balance, happiness and feeling all the joy that life has to offer.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My clients can expect to engage in a process that is compassionate, empathetic, and safe. I will provide a space that is non-judgmental and confidential, where they can feel secure to share their thoughts and feelings. The first session will be directed toward an Introduction of myself and the intake process which will be geared into accessing the client's goals and some of their backgrounds.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a highly culturally sensitive, multilingual and internationally traveled individual who has accumulated years of experience working in different areas of marriage of family counseling.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a method that I have used in various therapeutic settings to help individuals manage a range of psychological issues. - Identifying Negative Thoughts: CBT helps my clients identify negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress or unhelpful behaviors1. - Challenging Beliefs: I work with clients to challenge and reframe these negative thoughts into more positive, realistic ones. - Behavioral Experiments: I utilize CBT with clients to test these new thought patterns in real-life situations to see the impact on their emotions and behaviors. - Skills Training: I practice CBT with teaching practical skills like problem-solving, stress management, and assertiveness training. - Homework Assignments: Clients are often given tasks to practice outside of therapy sessions to reinforce what they’ve learned. - Role-Playing: This CBT technique can be used to practice social skills and prepare for potentially challenging interactions. - Relaxation Techniques: CBT may incorporate methods like deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation to help reduce anxiety. - Mindfulness: Incorporating mindfulness techniques helps clients focus on the present moment and reduce rumination. - Exposure Therapy: For clients with phobias or anxiety, CBT can involve gradual exposure to feared situations to reduce avoidance behaviors. - Cognitive Restructuring: This involves identifying and disputing irrational or maladaptive thoughts and replacing them with more balanced thoughts.
