Many times, we feel like we’re lost with no map or compass. As if we’re going down a path with no end. Let me be your guide who can help traverse and direct you through the winding, rocky, and sometimes very rough terrain we call life. Bringing healing to those struggling through a stressful or traumatic time in life is a passion and driving force behind my motivation. I believe fostering a therapeutic relationship and providing a safe and trusting environment for my clients is paramount. I am here to walk alongside you through your wellness journey. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Trinity University in San Antonio and a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has knowledge and experience working in grief and trauma with children, adults, and couples.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our initial session begins by discussing our counseling agreement so that there is understanding and I can answer any questions. However, the majority of the session involves us building rapport and allowing you a space to discuss the reasons that have led you to seek counseling. Once we have that discussion, we can begin to develop a treatment plan that involves specific individualized goals for your counseling journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

When working with each client, I tailor my approach to each individual's needs. I believe taking time to build rapport and listen to the needs of each client plays a significant role in effective and positive counseling outcomes. Feel free to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so I can answer any questions.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I work with a person-centered approach, as I value an individual's uniqueness and empower them to make informed choices that they feel is best for themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT throughout my counseling career. It helps clients challenge reoccurring unhealthy thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less stressed life.

Trauma Informed Care

I utilize trauma-informed care with each client. I work to understand and recognize how certain experiences affect each client in order to alleviate any negative reminders.
