I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for AR, OK and CT; and LPC Supervisor for OK. I am Certified in Domestic violence and Sexual Assault, with a significant history working with victims/perpetrators; prior Certifications in Sex/Pornography Addiction, as well as Sex Offender Treatment. I am trained, and hold prior certification in Child Forensic Interviewing; and prior work with law enforcement conducting forensic interviews of potential child abuse victims. I am trained in EMDR therapy. I also hold a prior certification in Divorce/Family Court Mediation. I also have a significant history or providing Substance Abuse treatment for adults and adolescents. I provide psychotherapy for individuals, families and groups who are dealing with many mental health concerns including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, anger management, grief and loss, parenting training/education, offender treatment, geriatrics, behavioral issues, etc. I am a Non-Denominational Ordained Minister and provide Christian counseling. I would enjoy an opportunity to walk beside you and assist you on your journey to healing!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will address any questions that the clients may have about the therapeutic process and what they may expect. We will speck time gather some background information and setting some tentative goals for our time together!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is my vast experience and training in a very wide variety of areas and issues. I am a very compassionate, non-judgmental, person that can quickly recognize a person's potential to achieve health and happiness in their lives. I am extremely committed to my clients and their success in their process of healing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through the use of CBT therapy client's are able to understand the relationship between triggers, thoughts, emotions, and how they result in specific behaviors. Through that realization clients are able to identify troublesome thought patterns and how to challenge and change those thought patterns to alleviate stress and anxiety.

Christian Counseling

I have been a devout Christian for 37 years and I am an ordained Non-Denominational Minister. Client's I believe faith is a power tool that can promote the healing process and for more than 15 years, I have been helping clients identify how faith can be an integral part of their journey to healing. I respect others who do not share the same religious beliefs and am able to provide healthy beneficial treatment for person's of all religions and beliefs.

Trauma-Focused CBT

A have significant experience in providing trauma focused treatment to assist clients in the healing process of trauma caused by a wide variety of situations/triggers.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In person-centered therapy, the client and the therapist work as a team. The Person-Centered therapist is supportive and nonjudgmental and utilizes techniques such as offering suggestions, and/or solutions for the client's problems. Person-centered therapy is non-directive and is empathetically driven toward providing a person with a safe space to talk, self-actualize (realize your full potential), and make positive changes in their life. Person-Centered therapy can be beneficial in dealing with issues such as anxiety, Psychosis, Dementia, Depression, Post-traumatic stress disorder and Other mood disorders.
