My name is Quinn Lambert, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Paducah, KY, working with clients across the state of Kentucky through telehealth. I work with individuals of all ages and specialize in the areas of grief, loss, and bereavement; religious/spiritual trauma or “church hurt;” and anxiety and depression. I use a combination of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy to help my clients start feeling better and work towards their wellness goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session together, my primary goal is to get to know you better. I will have some questions for you about what has brought you to counseling and what you are hoping to gain from the process, but I also want to learn more about you as a person; I truly seek to know my clients for who they are, rather than just treating your symptoms or presenting concerns.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My communication style is patient, compassionate, and encouraging. I do not claim to know how my clients feel, because each individual’s situation is unique; instead I seek to understand through empathic and active listening.

My treatment methods

Grief Therapy

From my time working in funeral home and hospice settings, I have gained experience and training in a variety of techniques and approaches to help facilitate normal grieving. Additionally, I am trained in Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy (PGDT), which is a structured approach to counseling designed to help those who are feeling "stuck" in their grief.

Christian Counseling

My faith is the core of my identity, and this is naturally expressed in my approach to counseling. For Christians, this could look like utilizing scripture and prayer as part of the counseling process. Even for those who do not identify as Christian, this is expressed in the counseling process as a loving, patient, and non-judgmental approach to helping you meet your wellness goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and education many times over the years to help clients with a variety of presenting issues, especially those related to anxiety and depression. I often use CBT to help my clients gain awareness of their own thought patterns and learn that thoughts and emotions are things over which one can gain knowledge and a level of control.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Above all else, I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the counseling process to help my clients meet their wellness goals. I meet my clients where they are, provide unconditional positive regard no matter the situation, and will readjust goals for treatment and/or the approach we take based on what my clients need or want.
