Hello! Thanks for visiting! My name is Traci and I am a Nurse Practitioner who is Board-Certified in both Family Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health. I have been in practice for nearly 20 years and have extensive experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Psychiatric Mental Health Care. I am able to treat patients in DC and Maryland with many mental health conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Bipolar disorder, and more. I specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, OCD, and especially in postpartum women and men and adults. I am in this field because I genuinely care about people and I want to help others be their best and have the best quality of life possible in this complicated world.
During our first session, we will spend time discussing your medical / psychiatric history and goals. We will also be collecting information from your family history, current symptoms, past medications, and more. Please plan to share your most recent labs and we can discuss options to get them done as well. The counseling provided in this appointment will include a discussion of treatment options, medication education (if appropriate), and supportive listening.
While I do not offer therapy alone, I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I specialize in medication management and refer my patients to great counselors when needed as part of their overall treatment plan. I firmly believe that the patient-provider relationship is extremely important and involves trust, transparency, and teamwork. I consider myself a guide in your care, making suggestions based on scientific evidence and years of experience, but always letting the patient make their own decisions as to what is best for them.
My goal is to help you reach your highest quality of life and become the best version of yourself and if you are open to the possibility of this and are located in DC or Maryland, then we may be a great team. At this time I do not prescribe controlled substances like Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, or stimulants like Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta or Vyvanse but there are several other options available that we can discuss. I am passionate about helping people gain access to mental health care and believe healthcare should be easily accessible, affordable, and of the highest quality. I am empathetic, compassionate, respectful, caring, and competent.

I do not offer therapy alone. I specialize in medication management and work with your therapist to treat the whole person. I believe in using the least amount of medications that maintain stability and improve quality of life. I do initial counseling and counseling on medications, treatment options, and basic beginning therapy, but I refer my patients out to trusted therapists that I have a good working relationship with.

I loved the meeting I had with her. She made me feel welcomed and wouldn't judge me no matter what I said.

Traci was very kind and responsive to all my questions. Would definitely recommend to someone who feels uncertain about their mental health or looking for an outside perspective.
