Anthony S. Campolo has been working in the counseling field since 1992. He has worked in variety of treatment modalities as a counselor, supervisor and consultant. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor and is Internationally Certified as a Co-occurring Disorders Professional, Criminal Justice Addictions Professional, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He is a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Additionally, he holds a Certificate of Competency in Problem Gambling. Mr. Campolo holds a Masters Human Service Degree with a concentration in counseling from Lincoln University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from LaSalle University and has completed the Addictions Studies Program from Alvernia College. He is holds post Graduate credit credits towards his a PhD in Human Behavior from Capella University. Mr. Campolo has been inducted into Pi Gamma Mu (International Honor Society of Social Sciences) and is a member of the American Counseling Association.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My greatest strength as a provider is my authentic approach as I can be empathic and direct. I am willing to help you explore both your areas of concerns and build on your strengths.
I work best with individuals 16 and older.- I have extensive training in Addiction, Anxiety, Anger, Depression, personality disorders, Mens issues, trauma and brain Injury. Additionally I do well with the young adult Neurodivergent population.
I am trained and credentialed in DBT and utilized this in my practice helping individuals develop effective coping skills to address maladaptive behaviors.
I have extensive training in CBT. I utilize this in therapy to help individuals address and reframe negative thought patterns.
I utilize simple mindfulness exercises in my sessions to help raise self awareness and assist my clients with grounding skills to be used in the present.
