began my practice in social work while working with foster children in the state's custody. I also have worked with active duty military for nine years. I believe this has greatly increased my ability to work with survivors of abuse and trauma. When working with others I like to find out what their goals are and what they feel they are ready to work on to improve their quality of life. I encourage, validate and support throughout the therapeutic experience to help someone achieve their goals. I have personal and professional experience with childhood abuse, and suicide that has afforded me the ability to empathize and know first hand some of the hardships associated with these circumstances. In addition, my professional experience has allowed me to learn some very effective options in helping others. I genuinely enjoy helping others and seeing them achieve a good quality of life. I look forward to the opportunity to help you identify your goals for therapy. I offer support and guidance to help you get to where you want to go!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we talk about what your goals are for coming to therapy. You decide what you want to work on and we develop a plan to move forward. Sometimes it takes a session or two to get to know each other more in order to develop a plan and that is okay too. You will take away various coping skills, techniques and support from each session.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I offer a client centered approach. I use CBT, CPT, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, DBT and ERRTM.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are working with those that have been effected by childhood trauma and abuse. I also work with ADHD, Depression and Anxiety.
